Techical centre of infrastructure

The Technical Centre of Infrastructure is an organisational unit of the Railway Infrastructure Administration, state organization (SŽDC, s.o.) Operating in the whole network, it provides technical diagnostics and measurement in the entire railway transport route, as well as further technical services for railway infrastructure in all stages of its development, building and operation.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES OF TÚDC

• Railway superstructure diagnostics – measurement and quality evaluation of rail geometrical parameters, measurement and quality evaluation of the rail surface geometry and section profile and track video recording
• Overhead line diagnostics – measurement and evaluation of static and dynamic parameters of the overhead line and pantograph interaction, including video recording, speed and technical safety testing
• Railway substructure diagnostics – providing diagnostics of railway substructure diagnostics using georadar checking
• Diagnostics of track structural gauge, tunnel profile measurement
• Radio network diagnostics – measurement and evaluation of the signal level and quality of radio networks and coordination of their operation
• Rail and switch defectoscopy, ultrasonic rail testing
• Diagnostics of bridges – particular inspections of bridges
• Diagnostics of defects of running vehicles – bearing overheating and flat wheel indicators
• Diagnostics of interlocking systems
• Return current path diagnostics – measurement and evaluation of the effects of the stray currents
• Corrosion examination, measurement of underground structures
• Diagnostics and measurement of selected heavy-current electrical devices, transformer profylaxis
• Verification of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and investiga tion of electromagnetic perturbation (EMI) of traction supply systems
• Energy measurement, traction and non-traction power consumption monitoring Energetic audits
• Methodological management and executive metrology of measuring instruments for electrical and non-electrical values
• Technical inspection and testing of determined technical devices – interlocking systems, electrical devices
• Testing and setting of interlocking systems
• Verification of new devices, systems and technology in the operational conditions of railway infrastructure
• Professional services, measurement and expert activity in connection with solving contemporary technical-operational problems and technical development project tasks
• Creating standards and regulations
• Creating, processing, registration and distribution of standard documentation and obligatory technical-operational documentation in the field of railway infrastructure
• Management of database and graphic data systems of railway infrastructure
• Quality assurance and classification of superstructure materials
• Management and operation of the Museum of Railway Signalling and Communication Technology in Hradec Králové
• Providing Operations of the SŽDC in the domain of inspection and examination of the determined technical equipments and in the safety-technical examinations of railway vehicles.
• Certification of contractors of replacementparts repairwork and special railway vehicles
• Administration of the Railway Telecommunication Property (ŽTM)
• Certification of SŽDC workplaces in the domain of metrology
